Gotta have my USB Time Machine drive, my external USB drive that I keep my iTunes and iPhoto libraries on, USB pen drive for carrying things with me, and now with .Mac for the Back To My Mac feature I've just got too many drives on my desktop. Sure I could probably replace the USB pen drive with the .Mac storage only, but some networks block it, I'm not necessarily always online, and often times I don't want to login to my account with a strange computer. I could also just not display all these drives on the desktop too. That may be a more realistic approach.
