Amazing times. I sat up and watched the speech with my 11 year old daughter and was left feeling rather overwhelmed at the moment in history and her view of it and knowing she will not understand the full impact this has on her future for many years to come.

My wee story. ;)

I've been having random bouts of giddiness, and for some reason my fist has been sporadically popping up in the air in a "yes!" motion. I know this country has a lot of serious issues, but I truly believe this will be the start of something amazing.

StevieB, as an American, that makes me really happy to hear. I know our standing in the world's eyes has taken a big hit over the last several years for some very valid reasons. I think our president-elect understands how important it is to work *with* other countries instead of trying to bully them into submission.

Me, too, Shannon. It's truly remarkable how people have been celebrating and how people in other countries are so supportive. I'm always proud to be an American, but today especially.
